2012 Here we go!

So new year, new resolutions right?
I would have to say that my biggest resolution this year is to loose weight... I feel like the older I get the fatter I get aughh! So I have finally decided that I am gonna do something about it! I want to loose 50 Lbs by the summer. Thats my goal... I have sign up with Sparkspeople.com which is a great site to keep an online food jurnal... also it has a lot of help when it comes to work out ideas and food recipes and all this other cool stuff! 8) So yes I am happy to say that I am ready to get back in shape! YEAH ME!!! 8)
This week we ( meaning church family) are gonna be having a week of prayer and fasting, so I don't think I will be writting to much on my jurnal! lol It would look like this:
Breakfast - nothing
Lunch - nothing
Dinner - nothing
It would look like this all week! ( hopefully) lol
The good thing about fasting for a week, besides the obvious spiritual advantages is that you usually loose about 5 Lbs... again YEAH ME! lol
So I will keep you all informed to see how I am doing. feel free to leave me any encouraging messages! lol
Also I recently decided that I wanted to learn how to knit... I found size 8 (5 mm) needles @ a 99 c store and I figure ha lets give it a try... so I will soon be posting pictures of how that is going! I am currently working on making a baby blanket... which I will have to say that for having just learned the basics I am doing pretty good! 8)

Tonight my pastor taught about something that we as Christians, people who are striving to be like Christ, should not have as part of our lives. Yes, he spoke about television and the movie industry. No, he did not just give us examples or simply admonish us to refrain. He took the time and gave us scriptural reasons we should refrain. Oh, and the bible study he taught was not something he put together himself. It was originally put together by an Assemblies of God minister back in the 60's. The scriptures are still the same, God is still the same, but television is DEFINITELY different than it was back then! There are people of great intelligence who have chosen to refrain from having a television in their homes. They feel it is a waste of time and can "dumb down" a child that is exposed to it. Psychologists have said that children are being numbed by the violence they see. That children's psyche are being adversely affected. In fact, many of Hollywood's own stars do not allow their own children to watch television or the movies they themselves are a part of. Why? Because there is too much violence, sex, mayhem, gossip, etc. that they don't want their children to be damaged by.

I am not judging anyone who has a television. Instead, I challenge all of us to study the scriptures that were given tonight and honestly seek God's will about this topic. The title of the Bible Study is "Scriptural Reasons Why Television and Hollywood are Unacceptable to a Christian."

I was amazed when I found all this scriptures today while thinking of what I wanted to put on my status on Facebook... I found all of these scriptures while searching on blueletterbible.com for Psalms 65:4 which is a scripture Bro. Galen DeCosta used while teaching @ church on a Sunday morning last year...

2011 here we come!!!

The year 2010 is coming to and end in a few days... WOW! another year gone! This year was a difficult one for me, in so many ways! I have fought many battles, I lost some but won many more... and the most important thing here is: I'm still standing and that only by the grace of God!
One thing I learn this year is that God will always be there for me! No matter what He will always love me... I don't understand Him, but I am only human and how can I a mere human understand a God that would lay down His life for me over 2000 years ago...
There is this song that says "when He was on the cross I was on His mind" Can you comprehend this? How He knew you and me such a long time ago? This ever loving, ever patient, ever present God??? I can not!!! But I am grateful that He thought of me! He called me to live! When I had no more life in me... He said "LIVE", when I said God I can't, He said "I am here and with MY help you will!" My God, how can you love a wretched woman like me???? Tonight as I write this down I am so full of love for The One who died for me, The One who loved me before I loved Him, The One who knows how many hairs are on my head, the one who KNOWS my name! I will be forever grateful for His wonderful sacrifice and His AMAZING love!

Lord Jesus,
I love you so much, and I know that in my limited vocabulary I could never express the love I have for You, but never the less it's there! Rolliepolllies & being in the hands of God

So the other nite I found a rolliepollie in my bathroom, and me being me,I picked it up.... Well if you know anything about rolliepollies they curl into a little ball when you pick them up... It is a way to protect themselves!
after about 30 seconds of being in the palm of my hand it started walking and I guess checking out my hand! lol it walked for a while on my palm and then it walked to the back of my hand I tried to turn my hand so it wouldn't fall but I wasn't able to do it in time.... so it fell of my hand... when it landed it automatically curled itself again and it layed like that for about a minute and then little by little it started to uncurled. but then because it was on its back it couldn't really go anywhere... I let it struggle for a little bit and then I took it and put it on the right side even though it tried to curl itself up AGAIN... lol
It stayed there for a little while until it felt confident and then little by little it started to move away...
and then it was gone...
You might be thinking, "why is she writing all this about a rolliepollie?" well let me tell you why...
After all this happen it got me to thinking about our walk with God! When we first meat God we are shy and try to curl into a ball of protection cause we don't really know Him and we are afraid... but when we finally trust Him we are able to move within His hand and under His protection! but then sometimes we decide than we want to walk where we shouldn't and God try to keep us safe but we don't want to stay there and we fall away from Him.... and when we are on the ground God goes in and tries to pick us up and again we are afraid to go back to Him because of our failures and we try to go back to our little hiding ball of protection... But God is so good and He is patient with us, He gives us time to get up again and to get comfortable with His presence... Isn't God AWESOME! I love Him soooo much and I thank Him everyday for being so good with this rolliepollie ( me )
When I fall He helps me get up and He waits and helps me feel comfortable and loved in His presence! Thank you Jesus!

DISTRACTIONS!

                  5) Division or disorder cause by dissension, tumult.
Synonyms of Distraction: madness, lunacy, insanity, craziness.
-Also a condition or state of mind in which the attention is diverted from an original focus or interest.
Dissension: 1) Strong disagrement; a contention or quarrel; discord.
Synonyms of Dissension: Strife or quarrel.
Tumult: Highly distressing agitation of mind or feelings; turbulent mental or emotional disturbance.

-Also agitation of the mind or emotions.

When you become distracted with life and from the things that God wants you to do, basically what follows is CHAOS... Your mind becomes disturbed, there is disorder, division, tumult, madness, craziness, divertion, dissension, disagrement, really a total chaos of your mind and life...
In this CHAOS and confusion you can easily loose your way and it becomes very hard to make the right decisions for your life spiritual or other wise, and little by little and before you know whats happening you have gone from distraction to confusion to a HORRIBLE chaos that can easily keep your eyes AND ears close to the voice of God!
So in all the craziness that is going on in your mind you have a hard time hearing the voice of God, His voice becomes clouded and eventually unheard in all your confusions and all the "noise" in your life...
This is the life of a DISTRACTED person... With this you are confused, upset, LOST!!!
BUT even here in this place of confusion, distraction and craziness; what is really AMAZING is that throughout all this ever present even if just in the background of your crazy life... JESUS is still there!!!!
His everlasting MERCY is still there.... calling, calling, calling your name! HE DOES NOT GIVE UP! (for the calling of God is without repentance) even throughout all the chaos God will make a way! In all your confusion, God WILL come and help you out of that place of distraction!!!
CHAOS: A state of utter confusion and disorder...
-God is NOT a god of confusion and disorder, He has a plan for everything, there is no confusion in Him, there is no disorder in Him, There is NO chaos in Him!!!
BUT there is LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HAPPINESS, ETERNAL LIFE.... And it's ALL in Him...
Thank you JESUS... I love Him soooo much & I thank Him for this revelation!

There are some things that have been in my heart lately... (I guess thinking bout having a birthday coming up and all) has really made me think bout my age and my life until now...
This 2 scriptures, well the second one mostly has really been in my mind lately.... I think bout being single at my age.... let me tell you most of the time it does not matter at all! I am happy being single!
There is a mentality in Pentecost that there might be something wrong with you if you are not married in your early or mid 20s... Well I am well past my early 20s and here I am... SINGLE! yes single and happy! I won't deny that I have my days of sadness what single girl doesn't? and if any single girls out there say they don't get lonely... well YOUR lying! lol
I had more of a hard time convincing my family than anyone else... I come from a family of 5 girls and 1 boy! ( I know that's a whole lot of kids... but I am Mexican! lol) I am the youngest of them all.... and all my sisters (except for 1) had kids before they were 20... I was 5 when my oldest niece was born so by the time I was old enough to have kids I was done with them!!!   lol DON'T get me wrong I love kids... I just don't want any of my own! lol
but going back to the scripture.... I loved it, when I first found this scripture I Corinthians 7:34
I was like " YES! here it is... lol My answer... lol
I see some of the ladies in my church... wifes & mothers and they have it rough! I feel bad for some of them.... they have time for hardly anything besides taking care of their husband, children AND home...
BUT I want to choose the better part! I don't want to be like Martha and be too busy for God! I want to be more like Mary and take a seat at the feet of JESUS!
There is so much I can invest in the Kingdom of God! AND please don't misunderstand me, He has a work for all of us... I know that God can use you if you are married, but ME being single, have more time to dedicate it to the service of my Lord!
I don't mean to offend anybody... but marriage is not for all of us...I want to care for the things that belong to the Lord, I want to be pleasing unto Him, I want my prayers to be ..."of a sweet savour unto the LORD:"!!! Lev 2:2
In conclusion...
I am in love with a wonderful God... AND I guess I can say that I have been bethroed to the one I love the most... more than life itself... I am part of the bride of Christ... and I am waiting anxiously for the day when the Groom returns for me, His bride!
BUT until then.... I have LOTS work to do... We have been promised a great revival....
As Bro. Rivers has asked us during this time hes been preaching for us... "DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE PROMISES OF GOD ARE TRUE???"
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

AND it also says in Numbers 23:19
God [is] not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do [it]? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
I BELIEVE IN THE PROMISES OF GOD...DO YOU????

So here I am again lets see if I can keep up this time... lol
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!
I am in love with a God that is good, that holds my life in His hands! A God that no matter what is always there for me... Let me tell you I have learn so much from Him in the last few months, and yet there is soooo much more to learn from Him! I guess really you never stop learning, His word is full of so much knowledge, it is just amazing! I am in a place in my life where all I can tell God is I want more, I am not satisfied anymore with the knowledge of past miracles and I am tired of hearing about the past experiences of the past generations of the people of God! I am ready for our miracles! It is time to take up the Cross... we need to claim our victory and then move on with the plan of God... So yes, I want more of Jesus... I want to see the miracles promised to our generation... I want to see the souls of our surrounding cities coming to God... I want to see the healing, the miracles, the new babes in Christ... I want to see the Chekinah glory of God.... I want to see the REVIVAL promised to Ontario come to pass... IT IS TIME... we need to make up our mind that we will allow God to use us for His glory, for His kingdom. It is Gods will that we see all this!
God wants to work with us and see us through, he wants to use us for His glory....
I mean what a privelage that the God of glory would take time to comune with us and let us feel His precense... allow us to work for Him!
I love God with all my heart and I know that He has great plans for His peple!!!!
In Jesus name let revival come to Ontario and our surrounding cities!
Thank You Jesus for a revelation of who You are and what your will is!!!

God Is Good

I just want to say that God is sooooo Good!!!
I am amazed daily by all that God is doing. I feel like words can not express the feelings in my heart.
The last month I have seen how much our church is changing for the better, of course! There is this hunger and thirst for the things of God its amazing!
Every Monday we have prayer and last night was no exception...
It was so cool how when you walk in you could just feel the excitement in the air!! There was such an awesome move of God. I have no words to describe the feeling I felt last night... There was an assurance about the things that God is gonna do.... I am telling you God is soooo good! God is giving direction and guidance to his people... I heard a song recently and it really touch me...
THE MORE I SEEK YOU
The more I seek you, The more I find you

I want to sit at your feet, drink from the cup in Your hands

This love is so real is more than I can stand

This my hearts desire to know God better than I have ever known Him!!!

What's Up!!!!

Ok, so I know its been forever an a day since I wrote something.... Please forgive me... lol

Well here I am again and I really don't know what to write I will post some pics from Disney. We went last saturday and took my mom. I am really happy that my mom is here visiting all the way from Sinaloa, Mexico... For those of you who don't know where that is... Look @ a map people!!! lol just joking. Sinaloa is in the west coest of Mexico right across from the lower part of South Baja... But N E Ways... Enough geography for today... I am really really happy my mom is here!!! yeah!!! I had not seen her for about a year and 1/2 (thats a very long time not to see your mother!) and I had really been missing her and my dad lately... you all pray that I get to see my dad soon too!

Sooo yes I am happy to have my mami around even if its for a few weeks only.

PLEASE, PLEASE , PLEASE Pray for my 3 month olb baby nephew Isaac. the Dr. are trying to decide if they want to oparate on him to fix the leak he has in his heart which is causing his longs to work hard... Thank you all that have already bee praying for him... From the bottom of my heart I thank you...

Arm Wrestling

Sunday Night after church, a few of us went to Wendy's to eat... while there some of the kids had some arm wrestling battles!On most of them Steven Orell was the champ! That is till he meet his match in Jeffrey after Monday night prayer!!! lol lol

It started with Brittani and Steven...( I think ) Others followed!!!

The Story of Esther (Starting Ontario Youth)

So the youth put together the play of Esther and they did soooooo great... they didn't even practice that long but they did wonderful!!! They did so well that now they are gonna have to do a few more performances!

Baby Isaac

So here I am again... I have been having a hard time keeping up with this lately, I just been kind of busy... so to my 5 or so friends that keep up with my blog here is an update on my sis baby!

He went home about 2 1/2 wks ago and he had to have oxygen and had a feeding tube... both are now gone and he is doing good and getting big!

I am gonna post some pics of him. I have taken a bunch!!! (although I am not a good a photographer as my friend Nicole Rowell ) lol

So Isaac is actually doing really well THANK YOU JESUS!!!
The Dr's almost let him go home for Christmas but decided against it at the last minutes... They just didn't want him to get sick while out of the hospital... They have also decided to postpone the surgery for 2-3 weeks so the baby can get stronger. God is doing so much for this baby... They told my sis ( the Dr's) that most of Isaac's blood test are coming out good, and they are thinking he might not have D'jorges after all... Hooray!!! Obviously he does have something but they are now saying it might be less severe... once again Thank you Jesus. I just gotta say that if people does not believe in miracles, here is one little boy that is only a week old and already a miracle!

Was born Dec. 19 around 4:20 a.m.
he weight 6 1/2 lb
It had been a very long (almost 30 hrs) waiting time for my sister Ari... at one point her Epidural (hope I spelled that right) didn't work any more... so she was in so much pain, she was crying and trying not to. I was totally lost and did not know what to do. when the baby finally came, he was not breathing on his on so they massage his little body to stimulate his lungs and after they cleaned his air way, he cryed weakly then they took him away... It was really sad because my sis could not even hold him... she did not see him till like 10 a.m. when the baby and my sis were being transferred, baby Isaac to NICU and my sis to a regular room. It was heart braking to say the least. My sis started crying and once again I did not know what to do! What do you tell a mother when she can not even hold her newborn child??
Well, that was Friday and the pic. above is what Little Isaac looked like when I left Loma Linda Children's Hospital...And God has already perform miracles in his life!!!
Today I talk to my sis and she told me she got to hold him and she was just so happy!!! she also told me they took the breathing tube out, he is currently breathing on his own & also eating on his own. He is currently eating 5 cc at a time.
I know he has a long road ahead of him still, but I believe that God has His mighty hand on my baby nephew!!!
My sis was told that he will need heart surgery to correct the Troncosis and chamber problem (he has one instead of 2)... that's probably going to be Monday or Tuesday... They also think he might have to have a retina transplant ( that's in the eye), but they have to wait till next Thursday for the pediatric optometrist to see him... What the Dr. that I spoke to, told me was that one of their biggest worries was that he might have an immuno defiance, which can bring on a lot of problems for a baby like Isaac. All of this problems are cause by D'Jorges syndrome which Isaac has...
I just ask for all of you to keep baby Isaac in your prayers and also his mommy and that through this she might be able to get close to God...

After doing the "Female Icon Quiz", I found a word I did not know what it meant (you know us ESL people, have to keep looking in the dictionary) lol.
anyway so that's just what I did I looked in the dictionary. What I found out by the meaning of the word (Definition also posted!) is that I am a person that can grasp what's beautiful in many ways! 8^)
I think I really like this word... and with that here is one of my favorite sayings:

Pray for my sister Ary and Baby Isaac

Hi everyone! Some of you know that my sister Ary is expecting a baby for the 24Th of December and she now knows that she is gonna be induce on the 16Th. Her baby is coming with heart problems and that's why they decided to induced her early... My sister was devastated when they told her after some test that the baby had DiJorge's syndrome which depending of the severity of the syndrome can cause major deformities (Baby Isaac's heart condition is also cause by Dijorge's) Well since then, my sister had an ultrasound showing baby Isaac's face with no deformities which is a major miracles cause they told her that he had a 70% chance that he would have a cleft palette [ hope I spelled that right 8^)] Anyways. I thank God for this awesome miracle!!!! Well I spoke to my sister last night and she was kind of sad, my mom was supposed to be here with my sister to help her out and as of yesterday its more likely she wont make it... my dad has been very sick and has had a fever for the last 3 days! Please pray for him... My mom has decided that she can not leave my dad alone, because my other sisters just cant take care of him... I am sad... but my sisters is more sad. My mom does not know about the baby's problems, my sister was waiting till she got here to tell her cause she did not want to worry her... so she probably wont tell her till after the baby is born and she knows what is gonna happen! thank you for reading my post, and for all your prayers! This is now my way of unloading 8^)

Well here we are! Another year is soon to end.... But before it does I would like to say what I am thankful for...
I AM THANKFUL:

For the opportunity to get to know God a little bit better everyday.
For a calling from God to prayer and dedication...
Because He loved me before I loved Him.
For the marvelous works & miracles God is going to do & is doing in my family
For a youth group that is getting more and more committed to God and His work.
For Jeffrey and Kristy's commitment to our young people.
For a Pastor that is willing to fallow God's calling and leading.
For Sis. Clark she is a wonderful Lady of God and such a godly example.

Monday Night Prayer

So last night we had prayer...some of you missed it! and when I say you miss it, I mean you miss it.
The Lord is so good to us. Last night He visited us with His wonderful presence... Let me tell you that if you have never felt Gods presence, you don't know what you are missing.
It was such and exiting night. We came in and started praying and Gods sweet presence was already there waiting for us to reach out to Him and let Him touch us!!! We had prayer for needs and let me tell you we claim healing & salvation for family and friends both the ones that know God and the ones that don't.... it was so awesome the way God moved and the faith that our Young People are manifesting... GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
I thank God for all the changes that I see in our young people... You can see how much they have grown and how hungry they are to get to know better this life changing, wonderful, huge, awesome God that we serve. I really cant wait. I am so exited, that I don't exactly know how to put it in words. He is not done with us... We are here for such a time as this. 8^) God has done and is continually doing some really awesome marvelous works, and I thank him for it....
